Slate School, a leader in environmental stewardship, is opening its 40-acre nature conservancy to the community for a special Nature Conservancy Tour on October 5th from 9-10am. Slate School's picturesque 40-acre nature conservancy doubles as a learning laboratory for students.

Neighbors and community members are invited to join Environmentalist Grace Kenney and Horticulturalist Rana Bates for a tour meandering through the native stand of white pines, across dry and wet meadows, around the pond, over the wetlands, along the woodland border, and a visit to the greenhouse and organic garden. The tour will also share the various ecosystems found throughout our conservation land and share the ways in which we care for and interact with these spaces.
